Have you ever seen or imagined something with an incredible magnitude? For me, the ocean is the first thing that comes to mind. Standing at the beach, looking out at the vast expanse of water, with the sky stretching out to the horizon, it’s truly awe-inspiring. And there’s so much we don’t know about it – the depths and all the creatures that live there, many of which have yet to be discovered by humanity. I often imagine sea creatures with lights shining in the depths of darkness.
If you’ve been to the ocean, you can hear the sound of the waves on the shore. The constant and rhythmic motion is almost hypnotic. One of my favorite things to do at the beach is to immerse myself in the waves, to be consumed by their power and almost playfully dashed to the ground, covered in sand, only to do it all over again.
Just like the ocean, our creativity is vast and unfathomable. It’s something to be entered into with fear, reverence, and awe – a form of worship. The songwriter’s words, “Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised,” capture this idea perfectly.
We should all take a moment to pause and recognize the greatness within ourselves. Each one of us has been created with goodness, mercy, and the Great Love of the Creator. With Great Love comes great creativity. Let’s dive into that greatness and create something beautiful today.
