It’s difficult to imagine creativity apart from the idea of a Creator in the ultimate sense of a person who embodies creativity to its fullest good in the world as we know it and beyond.
The idea of receiving blessing from such a Creator and along with it the sense of being justly treated, which comes with such blessing, is an invitation to take seriously the calling and the commissioning of the creative person at the hands of the Creator of all.
To receive such blessing and along with it the capacity to sustain such blessing is only the first step. Now it is incumbent upon the creative to share such creative abundance with the rest of the world in order to fully redeem such investment. And this is because the original intention of the blessing of creativity reaches full maturity when it fulfills the ultimate purposes of the Investor, in this case, the Creator. It’s like a gushing river that is on its way to meet the ocean and along the way brings life and prosperity to all in its path.
The enduring nature of such creativity is nothing else but what is often referred to as the salvation of God.
Consider,
When we think, paint, draw, work or breathe today, shall we pause and contemplate the unlimited value of the gift of creativity we possess in our beings—irrespective of our shape, size, color, abilities to be “creative,” ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, or anything else? Perhaps we might also pause to consider the limitless potential of the hope of creativity we carry for the world and the communities we inhabit. There’s no holding back!
