Quarreling

If it were possible, would we build walls in the ocean?

Even if we were to solve the problems the environment—lack of clean water, pure air, thriving forests etc.—who will save us from the propensity of humanity to quarrel and quibble?

As creatives, let’s decide well before the sun rises that today we will be a people of peace.

Consider,

Not merely avoiding quarrelsome people and situations, but praying for wisdom to proactively pursue peace; to carefully discern the price to be paid; to adopt postures of purposeful resilience.

Quarreling is like a tap left open and the water from the tank drains out. The overabundance of water floods the room and in the end there is no water in the tank for what is necessary.

They walked away

The tap left running

Flood waters rise

All consuming tide

Turn it off!

Too late, is it?

Tank is dry

So am I.

Rather, "Seek peace, and pursue it."
