Guilty of innocence?

The words “integer” and “integrity” are etymologically connected, both having a root meaning of being “intact, whole, or complete” “as opposed to a fraction.” It is child-like faith that seeks vindication despite having committed wrong. It takes unwavering trust in the lawmaker or judge to overlook offense and to pronounce “not guilty” when evidence is contrary. It’s absurd to say that we offer the whole truth when indeed our evidence is but pieces. But love envisions and even looks for the shards of evidence in our lame claims to absolution in the light of a larger integrated reality and judges such as worthy of the higher love.

Consider,

Interpreting our own and others’ pieces of evidence however lame they may seem in the light of the greater creator love, and forgive.

PS. I met Lucy (picture above) yesterday and was led to pray for her. In the process I did a watercolor.
