What ultimately drives a truly creative response?

What ultimately distinguishes one person’s creativity from another?

Creativity as response often includes responding to what is explicitly said, but also to that which is implied. It includes responding in the light of the circumstances in a given situation, as a witness, or participant-observer in a specific context.

Ultimately, however, creativity is responding to the joy in one’s heart. But this involves a process of searching and self-introspection.

Creativity seeking joy within puts you in a unique place, cuts through all and any competition, and uniquely distinguishes your work from another, not according to some general standard or aesthetic but according to the truth of revelation in one’s heart.

It is this creativity as joyful response that is expressed in every state of being, thought, stroke, strum, and song—carrying an explicit or implicit conviction of being sent to shine the light of creativity, i.e., truth and justice, beauty, and goodness, in every place and situation. It is this sense of being sent that drives purpose and is what ultimately brings the creative life meaning.

Consider,

…what drives creativity for you, brings purpose and meaning to life—especially when such is not necessarily affirmed and recognized by others?
