A work is complete to the satisfaction of the creator, but may not appear without defect to the discerning. But who really is able to discern the correlation between defects of the creation and inherent creativity of the creator?
The process of creativity can become one of favorable or selective perception, conscious or unconscious—we only see what we want to see about ourselves. But the discerning creative will already have factored in the tendency toward presumptuousness. An open and earnest confession can be a creator’s moral (shaping principles of judgment) and ethical (shaping principles of conduct) pathway to freedom.
A discerning eye, or learning to pay heed to what may not be openly visible or easily heard is a creative’s early warning signal, for self and and gift to the world seeking truth.
