Waiting for justice

Praying for comfort and for peace for the family and friends of Tyre Nichols and for the families of victims who lost their lives in the Turkey and Syria earthquake.

Among other things, creativity is an invitation to seek purposefully; not to aimlessly wander but to seek in order to actually find. We actively seek justice. But justice may not always be found. Justice is evasive, a result of a corruption of the soul of our creative being as people, as societies. It seems as if justice has hidden justice’s self.

Stepping up the search may not always result in success. And this could be due to the reality that the fabric of the soul is a matter of revelation primarily and not something that may be accomplished on human terms alone.

When we actively seek out justice, to be more like Justice Personified, then we in turn begin to take on the likeness and character of justice. Rather than searching for justice, Justice finds us, is revealed in and through us. Creativity is like this—an invitation to seek, to bring together the seemingly disparate pieces of our creative personas into a coherent whole in accord with Justice.

Consider,

Waiting for justice is an active culturing of our inherent creativities in the larger creative economy to allow for a systemic transformation as opposed to merely a transactional arrangement from one episode to another.
