Creativity is a process of sifting through the mire of our hearts and the murkiness of our minds. It’s messy. But just as a diamond hidden in the rock drives a miner’s efforts to perfection, the hand of the creator is guided by purpose and hope, a journey of joyful anticipation to ultimately come face to face with raw beauty. The process of purposeful probing for perfection eventually results in the beginning of a new way of perceiving and understanding ourselves and the world.
Yielding to the hand of the creator, however, is never easy nor pleasant. But if it means the unveiling of joy and beauty within and the chance to shine brightly in the world—the excitement of a new journey of discovery and a new beginning—then definitely, I want to be in a place where I am open to this.
