The Light In Your Eyes: embodied and perceived
We judge others not merely by hearing what they say, but by looking in their eyes. Usually, one look will tell whether the lips speak truth. But we have to discipline ourselves. The idea is not to judge, but rather to listen with wisdom and knowledge through the ears of the heart.
A follow-up effect of hearing truth is that the heart (not just the physical organ, but the seat of human understanding and being) senses being lifted up to understand and get insight into life’s true purpose, which is beautiful, good, pure.
You begin to see others in a new light, not as enemies, which is the first step to building an invincible spirit, but as potential representatives embodying Creator-glory in their beings—this is ultimately what qualifies as humanity’s ultimate attraction factor, a necessary and unique dynamic for a thriving social ecology.
