En Garde!*

The beauty of creative expression is one thing, the hidden dimension quite another. Is it possible to create something beautiful outwardly, but yet harbor bitterness, jealousy, and resentment in our hearts toward others?

Inspiration is inside out. Light in, light out; beauty in, beauty out; life in, life out. But cursing, deceit, and oppression in, violence, lies, and fear out. What shall it be?

Creatives, “Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.” **

* en garde. / French (ɑ̃ ɡard) / interjection. on guard; a call to a fencer to adopt a defensive stance in readiness for an attack or bout (www.dictionary.com)
** The Holy Bible: English Standard Version (Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles, 2016), Proverbs 4:23.
